Dr Thomas Abraham graduated from College of Dental Surgery, Manipal. He went on to do his Masters in Maxillofacial Surgery and also his FDSRCS, FFDRCSI, from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Ireland respectively.  He also obtained his Membership in Oral & Maxillofacl Facial Surgery from the Royal College of physicians Surgeons of Glasgow. He was also recognized for his contribution in the field of dentistry by being awarded the Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia. He worked in numerous Maxillofacial and Reconstructive Surgery units in Wales, England and Scotland before returning back to Malaysia to join the Ministry of Health of Malaysia and worked as a consultant for the last 22 years before leaving the public service for full time private practice.

His area of intreats is Head & Neck Oncology, Maxillofacial Traumatology and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also a lead research investigator for the Oral Cancer Research Cordinating Centre and Cancer Research Malaysia. He is also member of the international faculty of the AO Foundation in Davos Switzerland. He is actively involved as a Mentor and trainer for the Nobel Biocare Implant Training Programme and also a Key opinion leader for Nobel Biocare in Malaysia.  He has over 35 Publications in International and peer reviewed journals. He was the Publication secretary and editor of the Malaysian Dental Journal of the Malaysian Dental Association. He is also the Past President of the Malaysian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is currently the Hon Secretary to the College of Dental Specialist, Academy of Medicine Malaysia.
